As an Organizational Member of the American Academy of Underwater Sciences (AAUS) with over 20 years of dive experience as well as having a PADI Course Director on staff, we are uniquely positioned to provide specific training services for scientific SCUBA diving. We are the creators and driving force behind the annual Scientific Diving course for field site students in the Institute for the Environment at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

We created the annual ADCIRC Boot Camp event in 2010 for newcomers to the ADCIRC community to bring our years of ADCIRC experience and know-how to a wider audience. We also support ADCIRC capacity building beyond the Boot Camp event, and have expanded our training services via onsite training, allowing our clients to get up to speed with ADCIRC quickly, conserving dozens of hours of project time with a short but intense period of training.

Each year, the Consortium for Ocean Leadership, a Washington, DC-based nonprofit whose membership includes more than 100 of the leading public and private ocean research and education institutions, sponsors the annual National Ocean Science Bowl, a challenging quiz competition for high school students. Our services were retained to coordinate the Regional Bowl for North Carolina in 2007, 2008, 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016, and we have succeeded in bringing the National Ocean Science Bowl competition to North Carolina for the first time in 2016.

We maintain an extensive portfolio of teaching credentials to help keep our maritime and public safety clients in regulatory compliance. We are certified to teach courses and certify trainees with the following credentials: Emergency First Responder, DAN Diving Emergency Management Provider, and DAN Oxygen Provider.
